5 Bedroom Cottage in Old Forge

Beautiful and recently remodeled lakefront home with 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms located off of South Shore Road, on the channel, between the Old Forge Pond and First Lake. The kitchen is beautiful with new cabinets, granite counter tops and wood floors. The wood floors continue into the family room and the first floor bedroom. All bedrooms were redone with all knotty pine walls and brand new carpets!! The entire camp has knotty pine walls and is beautifully furnished. The camp was re-painted in 2019! It is so cozy!
More Details:
The living room has a wood burning fireplace and plenty of windows facing the lake! The living also includes a cable TV with a DVD player. High-speed WiFi is also provided.
The Kitchen is fully furnished and includes a nicely sized dining area. The camp has two bathrooms. One on the first floor with a bathtub and one on the second floor with a shower. The first-floor bath includes a washer and dryer! There is one bedroom with a full-size bed on the first floor!
There are four large bedrooms upstairs! One with a king bed, two with queen beds and one with two twin beds!
Please note: Linens are not included in the rental. There are bedspreads and pillows on each bed!
Enjoy the sandy bottom shallow waterfront, perfect for swimming and fishing. There is plenty of space to dock your boat or PWC’s in the boat slip. In the evening, enjoy a campfire or cook a wonderful dinner on our new outdoor gas grill! Dine on the deck as the sun goes down. Enjoy all that the ADK has to offer!

Summary: We traditionally vacation in Blue Mountain Lake, however our reservation was bumped and because our family was so disappointed I decided to seek out accommodations for the 8 of us. Kazmira was wonderful to work with and her home was the perfect setting for our stay. Lots of room for all of us. Highly recommend this home…you will not be disappointed!

Summary: We had a great stay here for a week at the end of the summer. The property is in a great location. It is very close to Old Forge. We rented a pontoon boat that we could dock there and that was the highlight of the trip! We went out on the boat every day and explored the lakes. My kids (3 and 7) also enjoyed jumping off the dock and swimming at the dock, if you didn't want to rent a boat. Near the dock, the bottom is sandy and there is some seaweed (as you would expect). We used the ladder on our boat to get in and out at the dock. I think kids would be fine climbing in/out without it, but I think it may be tougher for adults. We all had a ton of fun swimming in the lakes and on the dock. The house has everything you could need. We used the really nice grill for dinner a few nights to cook. We sat on the back deck every day and enjoyed the view of the lake. My kids loved watching movies using the Roku. I used the washing machine and dryer a few times because my kids go through clothes so quickly and I never seem to pack enough. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath, and that was great for little kids. They have a kcup coffee maker and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and stove. We had everything we needed for a great stay! We were very close to the neighbors. We were fully prepared for this because we saw it in previous reviews, and it was absolutely fine with us. But if you wanted a private location, this would not be it. You would not want to be up all night throwing a party out of respect for the neighbors. We did chat with one of our neighbors, and they were super nice to us and the kids. But it's something to keep in mind. The house also doesn't have air conditioning. They do have a fan in every single room, and that was fine for us because we were gone during the day and the fans cooled off the rooms at night. And finally, there are few minor things that need some attention. There is a spot in the floor that is heaving. The drawer for the garbage only closes when you put a rubber band around the handle. Some of the window latches don't fully lock and one of the window blinds is tangled. We had a hard time locking the back door as well. But honestly, these were very minor things and did not detract from our stay. We had a great time and I recommend this location!

Summary: Clean, well-sized and recently refurbished, with a great view of the lake, nice dock and lovely firepit. Our only complaint was that it could have been better stocked with the basics - bathroom soap, spices, etc.

Summary: Absolutely beautiful house... plenty of space for 2 families and great water front location! The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need to cook/prep/store meals... we only had to bring crock pots. We brought our boat and we’re able to use the boat dock and or boat house on the property. the kids enjoyed fishing off of the dock and feeding the ducks and deer! The owner KAZ was super amazing to work with and was very eager to make sure her guests were happy! We will be back in 2020 😁
